I tried out casting today and have an idea that I would like to try. It would be using the idea I had with the coloured stones, combined with the idea I had with the filter papers. I want to cast the flat stones from the island in resin and add a different colour(blues and greens) to each one and then put light through them and get the light marks they leave behind.

I am also using straw to make rope, with connection branches coming off it. I wanted to use a material which the islanders had used themselves. I am thinking that I want to try to pin it down outside and leave it disintegrate and record by photograph, the pattern that it leaves on the grass after it is gone.
